Portalegre Hub

Portalegre is IPG’s first industrial landing zone

IPG is built around a Portalegre-first model. The objective is to create a credible, coordinated and scalable industrial landing zone for defense, dual-use and strategic technology companies that want to establish productive capacity in Portugal.

Portalegre offers a combination that is difficult to replicate in saturated metropolitan areas: territorial availability, municipal engagement, proximity to Spain, lower operating pressure, room to scale and a strong narrative of industrial regeneration.

WHY PORTALEGRE

A concrete gateway, not an abstract search for opportunities across the country.

A territory where IPG can align municipal, business and operational partners.
An Iberian position with proximity to the Spanish border and the Badajoz corridor.

A location suited to industrial expansion, training, events and defense-industrial ecosystem building.

A region where new industrial projects can create visible economic, technological and employment impact.

POSITIONING

Portalegre is not presented as a peripheral location. It is presented as a strategic landing zone: lower noise, more room, stronger territorial alignment and a clear mission to host industrial capacity that matters.

LAND

IPG starts from a territorial base developed with local stakeholders. Land, site conditions, permitting, utilities and project requirements are always assessed case by case and subject to formal validation.
